Our Story
Our founder Cristian Almazan served proudly in the United States Marine Corps for over a decade and keeps the mission of national security close to heart.
As a Communications Officer, he was directly responsible for the implementation of advanced cybersecurity and communications networks that empowered teams of warfighters to accomplish dozens of successful military operations globally. Throughout his time in the military, Cristian developed an immense appreciation for the value that DoD contractors bring to the fight. He worked with DoD contractors of all types and sizes, each providing crucial skills, equipment, or expertise to America’s warfighters.
After leaving active duty, Cristian maintained relationships with many contractors that he previously worked with. These contractors shared their difficulties navigating the DoD’s cybersecurity requirements as outlined in the DFARS clauses, NIST, and CMMC. Being an expert in these areas, Cristian gathered several hand-picked engineers who shared his commitment to the mission and launched DefenseX in early 2024 to support these contractors. DefenseX launched to provide compliant, secure, and resilient IT services to DoD contractors and enable them to effectively support the warfighter.
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower DoD contractors to achieve more for the U.S warfighter. We view ourselves as an integral part of America’s team by implementing advanced cybersecurity and IT systems, enabling DoD contractors to do more of what they do best: providing quality goods and services to the DoD.
Our experts focus on carrying out the difficult cybersecurity implementations on behalf of our customers as well as crafting technologies that prove as force multipliers for DoD contractors. We empower DoD contractors to achieve more, securely.
